Default Big Bugs

We were out at the Island over the weekend and hooped 2 days of limits. They were all good size, with only 2 shorts.

I talked to someone out there and they said that hooping in the morning at around 5:00am was more productive?

Is the morning a better time for the monster bugs to be out?

Hey Bruce congrats on the limits and big bugs!!

How big were the biggest one you caught?

Can you give a general location like eastend, westend, middle and the depth you caught them?

If you do not want to post could you pm me?

Regarding 5am it all depends on the time the tide changes.

Thanks for the report and post some pics if you have any.

They 14 averaged 2.875lbs each and the biggest was probably about 4lbs. This is my second year hooping and the biggest I have caught yet was a 4.5 pounder. I am glad I only got 2 shorts, but I see the pictures of the 6-12 pounders and just wonder if they come earlier or later in the night, no moon?

I was on the west end in about 25 feet of water and used Mac's. I buy mine frozen at Walmart.

I would post a picture, but I cannot seem to figure out how using the above buttons? Can't we copy and paste?
