Default Finally got my fix

Yep I did, got my fix of fishing finally.
Fishsniper, my two sons and I launched out of Dana Point Saturday, headed to the 14 Mile Bank in white capped waters to try for some Rock fish, and Shark. Water was wet, 64.9 degrees and bumpy, the weather was a bit burrr, it didn't matter I was out fishing :D .
I hooked up with a 3 1/2 foot Blue Shark farmed the first time and boated the 2nd time and released, I know it was the one I farmed because hit still had my hook and line in its mouth, and Fishsniper with a Starry.
Decided to fish inshore to see if it was any better (WRONG), my son hook a Bonito by the kelp and that was it for the day. The only bummer about fishing a new area is not knowing the spots to fish.
So back to the launch ramp and what do we see?
Habor Patrol blocking the ramp and a diver
Well it seems that someone didn't hitch their trailer on right and lost it past the end of the ramp drop off and they were going to have to crane it out  .
I hate when that happens. Well needless to say it was a b**ch waiting for your turn to dock, people would tie up and instead of getting their trialer and pulling their boat out they wanted to watch the trailer delema  . Geez!
Well that was my fix for the day

I always love fishing new areas and finding the fish,it makes it more funner and a challange. If you have a good fishfinder and know how to read it you will find the fish. But if they want to bite you can't control that LOL

Good to hear you got on the water and thanks for the report!

Roger I do have a good fishfinder Furuno 600L but I'm still trying to figure it out. I wish there was a class or seminar that I could take to help learn to set and read it. Maybe a Fishfinder for dummys bookI look at it and go hummm ok now what :? Hell I spent good money on it I thought it would go FISH HERE just kidding. I fish by GPS #'s that usally works.
But I do need to learn how to read it.

Way to go on the catch. Nice to hear you made the best of it.

DOck antics are usually amusing, sorry it tangled you up a bit. Oh well.

Good luck dialing into your electronics!

You have a xint fishfinder :!: Somtimes Mark Wisch who owns Pacific Edge tackle in Huntington Beach does seminars on how to read fishfinders. Try give him a call and see when his next one is. I think it cost $20-$25 but you will learn how to read your finder better.

Yeah it was nice to get out with them. They're down from Idaho to eat some turkey. My oldest is on leave from the USAF and my 2nd lives up there with him. I'm taking them out again on Friday, before they go home.
