Default Cat 7-10-07 (2 outta3)

Me, Larry and friend Vic set out for the island sat. night around 9pm and got bait around 1030 and man the weather was excellent. We picked up bait from LB Carnage and began to scout out an area to start fishing. We took turns on watch until the fish started biting and then everybody was up. I got the first fish on a jig and squid about 3 cranks off the bottom a decent 23lb specimen. at the same time that rod went off my other rod got bit and vics got bit. those 2 were promptly farmed . Next up Larry hooks a nice fish thats taking a lot of line ....he was way undergunned ...unfourtunately his 20lb rod got bit instead of the 30lb outfit so deep release and back to biz only that was it for us. So off hunting we go catching the occasional sheephead and a bunch of calicos. Until at the last minute Larry redeems his self with this respectable 15lb fish. This was Vics first Cbass hunt ever so I guess the fish gods thought some dues needed paying ....sorrry Vic! but we split the fish up even anyway....... alll and alll a very nice comfortable day on the water with some good friends.
