Default No. Cal. Salmon Fishing

My brother has been nailing the salmon for a couple weeks now out of Trinidad North of Eureka.

They have been going out about 3 miles and putting in the down riggers and finished with limits in less than a couple hours.

He sent me pictures of the catch from yesterday when he took out his future son-in-law salmon fishing. Caught limits for the 3 on board.

Hope they're still there when I get up there in July!

Stop by the website and check the place out!

Thanks for the report and pics.

I've had a craving for Salmon as of late and bought some from Vons...Buyer beware, this stuff is farm raised in Canada and after looking closly at the lable has color added BLYUCK!

AND....and, it tastes like crap. Very stinky and strong flavored. I tried it from a Vons and Ralphs and they were both nasty. Didn't buy the Salmon imported from Chile as I assume my intestines have no more room for yet another specie of parasite.

There's nothing like wild pacific salmon. I order my sushi with salmon but I usually get it baked or tempura, I never purchase store salmon.

My family has owned the resort for over 20 years and I'm a little spoiled when it comes to eating salmon.

I just found out the last day to salmon fish up there is July 4th and won't re-open until August 14th.

Looks like I'm going to have to make an early run up there. . . . . .
