Default Castaic Sunday

Went out to Castaic (main lake) on Sunday. $24 to get in and launch the boat!!!!!!! First time on the main lake. Confirmed that weekends there are crowded. Every cove we tucked into had at least two other boats. That and the choppy water from all of the skiers and wakeboarders made it tough. Then the wind kicks in and it's time to go home. But I know why people keep going back. Managed to catch 6 LMB and one rainbow trout. My buddy caught 3 LMB and one rainbow. All were between 1 and 4 lbs. Most bass caught on plastics. Even one trout bit a plastic Roboworm!! Threw everything back except one trout. Sorry but I wasn't expecting to do much on my first trip there so I didn't have my digital cam. Next time will post pics too.

Hey thats pretty good! Bring along an 8" Charlie in Rainbow and try trolling for some of those monster stripers next time....Better yet, rig up a fresh rainbow and fly line it!
