Default Peir hooping for lobster's?

I don't have a boat and would like to know is there any good peir to hoop for Lobster? I have seen people pull up rock crabs at Newport Peir and I have had a friend hook a lobster with his pole. Do anyone suggest Newport as a good peir for lobster is there any other suggestions?

Hi Young piers are tough to get lobsters but sometimes can be good if you have the right tides and if the lobsters are crawling.

I have heard Belmont pier and Hernosa Pier sometimes do ok but the guys that have reported here have not done well.

We have also tried Redondo pier a few times with poor results but 3 weeks ago I was walking on Redondo and seen a couple of legal ones caught so you never know.

Good Luck!
