Ventura Harbor 6/29

Incoming tide, south jetty at harbor inlet, inside, 3 hours, squid and cut chovie on hi/low, 8# fluro leader....

Well, havent been here in a long time and as I recall it used to hold some butts. Made the putt this morning to catch the incoming tide. Over all it was pretty dead, not many anglers to be seen on the rocks. Maybe 4 others?

Any hoots, hooked up a small ray early on. A lot of little bumps so the piss-ants were out and they were jumpin too, good sign. Later in the day, kept getting little bumps and just left it, nothing worth swinging on. Well on my final retrieve I landed a Ling! I couldn't believe it, my first ling on the rocks!!!! Only thing, it was 6 inches long :lolbashsi Ever one was realsed safely.

Not a very productive day, no meat and hardly any love. Yes, I suck. Still waiting on that epic day at the beach. *note to self, leave wife at home next time*

Did manage a pretty spectacular shot with a pebble on to a crab! Didn't think I was gonna hit it, surly didn't want to kill it...But I did...and it did. His friends were happy though as they ate him up. Ya know, some of them are pretty big....and with about 50 of them....Nahhhh.

Oh and saw part of a lobster sloshing around, probably was a 2 pounder. So them rocks are a holdin' FYI.
